NFL DRAFT RECAP

Boy. Oh. Boy.

One of my favorite events of the year took place earlier this week and being excited is an understatement.

To quickly put it, the NFL Draft is when NFL teams get to draft College athletes who really like to join the team next season. To determine the draft order it usually goes the worse record you have the better pick you will have. My hometown team, The New York Jets, had the second-worst record last year so they had the #2 pick this year (We were soooo bad).

The NFL draft is definitely the event to get every fan excited for the season to start. There are always countless scouts who give their opinions on the top draft prospects and predict which team will take who.

Quarterbacks are usually the first players to get drafted due to their importance. The Jaguars had the #1 pick this year and drafted Trevor Lawerence. he was Clemson’s Quarterback who won the National Championship as well as the Heisman Award (The most prestigious award in college football). Now, all the pressure is on him to perform and live up to the hype.
